Be careful what you post! it could be a crime under §18.2-60, code of virginia, 1950 as amended

I am representing a juvenile who posted on Instagram a photo of a gun.  It was not meant as a threat to anyone, but the context in which it was posted made one of his viewers apprehensive and it was reported.  This post resulted in a criminal charge under § 18.2-60, threats of death or bodily injury to a person or member of his family; threats of death or bodily injury to persons on school property; threats of death or bodily injury to health care providers; penalty.

I was successful in having this young man not convicted, but he would have much rather not have gone through this experience at all.  So be careful what you post!
