“I am so grateful to Mr. Yates”
I would like to give you 5 stars and I found myself getting arrested after I had been caught shoplifting. I don’t know why I was doing it – I just couldn’t stop myself. I had so many reasons not to: my family, my job, my dignity. But there I was. I called Mr. Yates on the advice of a friend. When I met with him, he initially didn’t give me much hope, since my “first offense” was actually two separate incidents in a row that I was accused of. Once we discussed my case in detail, Mr. Yates discovered that my problem wasn’t a criminal one – it was a mental one. I was addicted to shoplifting. I sought help and immediately started counseling and attended a theft workshop. When we got to court, Mr. Yates worked with the prosecuting witness (the loss prevention manager who caught me), and was able to show him that my criminal actions were a result of my mental illness. They worked out an agreement, and I was able to avoid jail time, which would have been devastating to my family (and my job). I am so grateful to Mr. Yates: he helped identify my problem, encouraged me to seek the help I most desperately needed, and made it possible for me to get that help by avoiding jail. I never thought in my life that I’d ever need a “criminal attorney”, because I never thought of myself as a “criminal”. But I’m so glad I found Mr. Yates. He really made me feel like he was fighting for me the entire time, and indeed, I could not have wished for better results. Angela
